HAWAII ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) – Damage from a 6.0 magnitude earthquake in May has prompted the indefinite closure and layoff of staff from the Royal Kona Coffee Company Center.<\/p>\n

The company said it is laying off four employees from the Captain Cook location because of substantial damage to its facility.<\/p>\n

Employee separations were effective as of June 8. The company said it will cooperate with the state\u2019s Rapid Response and Dislocated Worker programs.<\/p>\n
