HALIIMAILE, Maui (HawaiiNewsNow) – In celebration of International Pineapple Day, Maui Gold is debuting a new brand.<\/p>\n

International Pineapple Day is celebrated on June 27, and starting next week, June 22-28, Maui Pineapple Farm will launch fresh- and frozen-cut pineapples, pressed pineapple juice and teas, and dehydrated pineapple available at the Haliimaile store and online.<\/p>\n

\u201cPineapple has long held a prominent role in Maui\u2019s agricultural identity and history, and we are proud to grow Maui Gold\u2019s legacy with our community in a fun and engaging way,\u201d said Todd Domeck, owner of Maui Gold.<\/p>\n

For more than half a century, Maui Gold has grown and harvested pineapple in Upcountry on the Haleakala volcano. The freshwater and nutrient-rich volcanic soil helped create pineapples that are sweet and have low acidity.<\/p>\n

Maui Gold added that Valley Isle restaurants, coffee shops and other local businesses will also have Maui Pineapple Farm products.<\/p>\n

Throughout the week-long celebration, there will be community activities, pop-ups by Maui artisans and food producers alongside an exclusive lineup from Maui Pineapple Farm.<\/p>\n

There will also be vendor pop-ups from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maui Pineapple Store, and Maui Gold will also have a float in the 58th Makawao Parade.<\/p>\n
