HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaiian Airlines unveiled Thursday the first of three aircraft liveries to celebrate Disney\u2019s live-action \u201cMoana,\u201d set to arrive in theaters July 10.<\/p>\n

The first design is featured on an Airbus A321neo (N227HA), an aircraft that connects Hawai\u02bbi to the U.S. West Coast and the Cook Islands.<\/p>\n

Hawaiian said the remaining two designs will appear in July on an A330 \u2014 the airline\u2019s flagship transpacific aircraft \u2014 and on a Boeing 717 used for interisland flights.<\/p>\n

The liveries include the message, \u201cVoyage beyond the reef,\u201d and feature characters from the film, including Maui as a hawk with his fishhook and the coconut-armored Kakamora catching rides in the sea breeze. Moana\u2019s animal friends Heihei and Pua also appear in the designs.<\/p>\n

The design is also reflected in the aircraft\u2019s interior with characters appearing on the overhead luggage bins.<\/p>\n
