HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The killing of an elderly man in Liliha on Wednesday afternoon has neighbors recalling his kindness and questioning the circumstances of the murder.<\/p>\n

Friends and neighbors at Nalanui Hale identified the 70-year-old victim as Jesus, who they called \u201cJessie.\u201d HNN reached out to the Honolulu Medical Examiner to confirm his identity and we\u2019re waiting to hear back. <\/p>\n

Jesse Kilborn, who said he knew Jesus for more than 30 years, said he saw him just hours before he was killed. <\/p>\n

\u201cNothing looked suspicious, he was in a good mood as usual,\u201d Kilborn said. \u201cIt kinda hurt, \u2018cause I know the guy long time. Really loved the guy, he\u2019s a good guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Honolulu police arrested a 32-year-old man nearby after he caused an unspecified disturbance about an hour before they found Jesus.<\/p>\n

\u201cThink he said he got attacked,\u201d neighbor Brayden Acierto said.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not released Jesus\u2019 relationship to the 32-year-old, but some say Jesus was having trouble with his adult son, who was living with him.<\/p>\n

Shana Mari Caminos, a maintenance worker who would see Jesus walk his dogs every day, said, \u201cThey were having problems with him (Jesus\u2019 son), because he had some kind of anxiety issues. I\u2019m not sure. They had to calm him down in certain situations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Acierto added, \u201cI heard a week ago, they were arguing, like outside of here, couldn\u2019t make it out, just like, shouting.\u201d<\/p>\n

HPD is investigating the case as a murder and HNN is waiting for more details.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt makes me sad, because he was so nice, like a genuinely good guy, and I\u2019m sure he was a good dad,\u201d neighbor Trinity Dario said. <\/p>\n
