Hanapepe man sought as person of interest after reported gunshot wound
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Kauai Police Department (KPD) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Hanapepe man who is wanted as a person of interest in a criminal investigation.

Police said he was wanted after receiving a report from Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital that a patient had been treated for a gunshot wound on Thursday.
Jason Bagain, 45, is 5′7″, approximately 145 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He is known to frequent the areas of Waimea and Hanapepe.
KPD believes that this is an isolated incident and that the public is not in danger. However, members of the public are advised not to approach Bagain if seen, and to contact law enforcement immediately.
