Pride flags to be flown across Hawaii to celebrate Pride Month
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – June marks the first day of Pride Month, and flags will be raised across the state in celebration.

Honolulu Hale and the Neal S. Blaisdell Center will be lit up with the rainbow colors of pride from sundown Monday through sunrise on Friday.
The city said a pride flag will fly outside of the Mission Memorial Auditorium throughout June.

Pride Month is celebrated in June in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Protests. Here in Honolulu, Pride is also celebrated in October along with LGBTQ+ History Month and National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11.
