Investigation launched following building AC units set a blaze in Mapunapuna
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An arson investigation has been launched following a fire in Mapunapuna on Wednesday.

The Honolulu Fire Department responded to Ballard Family Mortuary on Kikowaena St. around 8 p.m.
The first unit arrived on scene at 8:13 p.m. and reported 3 exterior air conditioning units on fire. Firefighters initiated an offensive fire attack with the initial engine company.
The fire was declared extinguished at 8:26 p.m.
A primary and secondary search was conducted, and no one was in the structure. All HFD personnel were accounted for, and no injuries were reported.

An investigation has been initiated to determine the origin and cause of the fire, as well as to assess damage estimates.
At this time, the Honolulu Police Department says a suspect has not been identified or located.
