Florida man arrested in Honolulu after alleged $1M scam
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Florida man was arrested at Honolulu’s airport May 8 in connection with an alleged fraud case, authorities said.

Homeland Security and state sheriff patrol units at the Daniel K. Inouye airport arrested Steven Minard, 57, as he was attempting to board a flight to Houston, Texas.
Authorities said Minard is accused of scamming an investor out of $1 million by promoting a fake multibillion-dollar project.

Minard is currently in custody at Oahu Community Correctional Center and faces two felony charges, Scheme to Defraud (over $50,000) and Sale of an Unregistered Security.
