Twenty years in the making, Brave, Bold and Beautiful includes stories and photos of over 155 women from Hawaii, including cultural practitioners, entrepreneurs and local celebrities, such as singer/songwriter Kimie Miner, kumu hula Vicky Holt Takamine, performing artist Kristian Lei, politician Michelle Kidani, and pianist and former child prodigy Ginny Tiu.
The public is invited to meet Tseu and the book’s contributors at a signing event and celebration at Bishop Museum’s Tutu’s Kitchen on Saturday, May 23, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Pictures will be taken at 4 p.m.
Tseu said the coffee table book is meant to allow the contributing women to have the opportunity to tell their stories of courage, perseverance, and stamina, reminding its readers to acknowledge their own self worth.
