Tap to Pay now available at all Hawaii Walmarts
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Walmart announced Friday that tap to pay is now available at all nine Hawaii stores.

Hawaii shoppers can now use eligible contactless credit or debit cards, phones or smartwatches to pay at checkout registers.
The new payment option joins existing methods, including cash, credit and Walmart’s app.

A study last year found more than half of all Americans are using tap to pay for in-person purchases.
Walmart began rolling out tap to pay at its stores in August and aims to have tap to pay in all U.S. Walmart and Sam’s Club stores by the end of the year.

Hawaii is one of 14 states that joined Walmart’s rollout Friday.
