First Alert Forecast: Heavy rain expected tonight through early Friday, drier conditions due back over the weekend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Chances of heavy rain, isolated thunderstorms and flood potential will increase Thursday into Friday as an upper level disturbance moves overhead. Drier air will move back in this weekend as trades continue. Breezy trades expected through the weekend into the first part of next week. Moisture from the remnants of Tropical Depression 15-E may bring another round of enhanced trade showers early next week.

A series of long-period south to southwest swells will fill in through the rest of the week, advisory level surf is expected on Friday for south shores. East shores will get an boost from Norbert and the strengthening trade winds.
