Suspect charged in Kapolei mall parking lot robbery

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The suspect in an alleged robbery that occurred Monday night, Aug. 24, in the parking lot of Ka Makana Aliʻi in Kapolei has been charged.

On Friday, Honolulu police said they conferred the case to the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney. The suspect, Lototasilealii Savusa-Sanders, 18, was charged with robbery in the second degree.

Police said at around 11:40 p.m., the suspect pushed and kicked a 22-year-old man, took his personal property, and flashed the handle of a black handgun before fleeing.

The victim was not hurt.

Following an investigation, police arrested an 18-year-old man just before 1 p.m. Thursday.

Bail was set at $30,000.
