Reminders from the department
Individuals and businesses planning a fundraising event on behalf of a charity must have written consent from that charity before the event takes place.
Charities should also confirm that they authorized the event and comply with state law registration and reporting requirements.
Consent forms can be submitted to the Department of the Attorney General through its online form.
