Alejado lands on Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – University of Hawaii quarterback Micah Alejado adds another preseason accolade.

The lefty signal caller was named to the 2026 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list.

Alejado was one of 27 of the country’s top college quarterbacks named to the list and one of 6 from a non-power 4 conference team.

The award recognizes quarterbacks who demonstrate excellence both on and off the field.

The sophomore Alejado was already named the Preseason Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year and is on the watchlist for the Maxwell and Walter Camp Player of the Year Awards.

Alejado and the ‘Bows open the 2026 campaign on the road on August 29th at Stanford.
