Work resumes on Windward Oahu bridge
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Windward Oahu drivers may notice increased traffic as City crews resume work on the North Kalaheo Avenue Bridge over the Kawainui Canal.

As a result, daytime contraflow hours will be extended, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
A police officer will be onsite for traffic control at the intersection of Kaha and Oneawa Streets.

Drivers will be redirected to Kaha Street for the overnight Kailua-bound detour.
Work on the bridge originally began in March but was paused because of a utility conflict issue.
