UH alumni-owned businesses showcase local products at sold-out Waikiki event
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The 5th annual University of Hawaii Alumni Makers’ Market sold out at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Thursday night.

Dozens of UH alumni-owned small businesses sold food, drinks, and retail items.
This was the second year the event sold out with approximately 500 attendees.
Governor Josh Green attended with his wife, who graduated from UH’s law school. Gov. Green said, “Supporting UH is supporting our whole state. The economic driver of our state is often UH itself. It also produces incredible people going forward.”

The UH Alumni Makers’ Market celebrates UH alumni small businesses and their impact. Presented by the UH Office of Alumni Relations, in partnership with the UH Alumni Association, a portion of the proceeds will go toward benefiting students across the 10-campus UH system.
