HFD extinguishes 2-story house fire in Maunalani Heights

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Fire Department extinguished a two-story house fire in Maunalani Heights Wednesday.

First responders were alerted to the fire at around 4:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Iwi Way.

Firefighters arrived on scene at 4:41 p.m. to find a two-story single-family residential building with smoke emanating from the front door.

Fire crews began an offensive attack and searched the home to confirm no one was inside.

HFD said the fire was fully extinguished nine minutes later.

All HFD personnel were accounted for with no injuries reported.

An investigation into the cause and damages to the home is underway.
