Maui police search for missing woman, 45, last seen in Haiku

KAHULUI (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Maui Police Department is searching for Nina Sofia Mohr, 45, of Texas, who was reported missing by a concerned family member.

After new information came to light from MPD’s investigation into her disappearance, officers conducted aerial search operations in the Haiku area Thursday aboard MPD’s helicopter.

Maui Search and Rescue personnel also responded to the area on foot.

She was last seen on the evening of Saturday, July 18, at a friend’s residence in Haiku.

According to police, Mohr’s friend contacted her family members after discovering she was no longer at the residence and that her cell phone had been left behind, adding that Mohr does not have a vehicle.

Mohr’s family reported her missing on Sunday, July 19.

She is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds, with brown eye and brown hair, which is usually styled in a bun.

She was last seen wearing a black top that says “MAUI” on it with tan or brown shorts.
