Downtown building evacuated after fire scare
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A water leak in a Downtown building prompted a quick response Thursday morning.

Honolulu Fire Department crews were called to the Topa Financial Center around 7am.
A building manager told HNN a water leak from an HVAC unit in the basement caused a spark and set off the building’s alarm.

There was no fire, but it did result in some smoke.
Electricity was automatically shut off. Power to the building will be out for part of the day while the smoke clears.
