Korean Festival brings K-pop, food, fashion to Kapiolani Park
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An annual festival celebrating Korean culture is returning to Kapiolani Park, creating a larger, more accessible experience for the public, organizers said.

The 22nd Annual Korean Festival Hawaii takes place Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and will feature local Korean food, live performances, and a hanbok fashion show showcasing Korea’s traditional attire.
DJ Moobek and Kang Woo-in will headline the festival’s “K-Pop Night,” and the performance lineup will also include Park Jung-sik, Lee Jung-ok, Seung Ri Kim, Michael Kang, and Jong Ok Jeon.

The festival was last held at Kapiolani Park in 2013. Since then, it’s taken place at Ala Moana Beach Park, Kakaako Mauka Gateway Park, and most recently Honolulu Hale civic grounds.
The Korean Festival is an annual event run by the Korean Festival Foundation to serve as an important cultural gathering that connects Hawaii’s local community with Korean traditions.
