Ei Nei leads big night at 49th Na Hoku Hanohano Awards; see the full winners list
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Ei Nei was among the night’s biggest winners Saturday at the 49th annual Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, winning Album of the Year, Group of the Year and Favorite Entertainer of the Year.

The group’s latest release, Ei Nei, Look At Us, also won Island Music Album, and “Hawaiʻi Forever” earned Single of the Year and Song of the Year.
The trio, featuring Dane Fujiwara, Grant Kono, and Ekolu Chang, formed in 2016 and previously won a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Most Promising Artist in 2020.
Other major winners included Kimié Miner, who won EP of the Year for Kuʻu Hawaiʻi and Female Vocalist of the Year, and Izik, who earned Alternative Album of the Year for KŌWĀ and Male Vocalist of the Year.

Baba Tavares was named Most Promising Artist and also won Hawaiian EP of the Year for Hanohano Hōnaunau.
Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards are presented annually by the Hawai‘i Academy of Recording Arts to celebrate commercially available recordings created, produced and/or engineered and primarily distributed in Hawai‘i.
