Man arrested in Ala Moana Beach attempted murder investigation

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A suspect has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder investigation at Ala Moana Beach Park.

At around 3:50 p.m., police responded to the park after a 24-year-old man reported that after a fight, the suspect returned with a handgun and allegedly fired multiple rounds in his direction.

No one was injured.

HPD previously said a caller reported that a man had a handgun. Around the same time, another caller reported hearing gunshots in the same area.

Police said the investigation is active and ongoing.
