1 arrested, 1 charged in North Shore attempted armed robbery

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – As authorities arrested a second suspect in a violent attempted robbery on Oahu’s North Shore, charges were filed against the first suspect.

The Honolulu Police Department said the two men approached another man in Mokuleia Friday night. One of the men allegedly assaulted the victim while the other brandished a handgun.

According to police, the suspects were unsuccessful in stealing the victim’s property and fled before officers arrived.

The victim sustained a minor injury and declined medical treatment.

Officers arrested Urlike Costorio, 50, on Tuesday. He was charged Thursday with first-degree robbery and his bail was set at $150,000.

HPD issued a public alert for the second suspect, Bryson Noa-Halemano, on Wednesday.

Noa-Halemano was arrested Thursday at around 1 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree robbery, police said.
