Professional voice actor Bryce Papenbrook — known for roles in Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer and more — joined HNN’s Sunrise Weekends to preview what fans can expect on the expo’s final day.
Organizers say the event features autograph signings, a cosplay contest and a variety of vendors selling pop-culture-inspired art. The traveling expo tours cities across the country, and organizers say the artwork is created by artists big and small — with no use of AI.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Waikīkī in the Koa Ballroom.
Voice acting Legacy
Papenbrook said he’s been voice acting for three decades. He got his start at age 8, inspired by his father, and later appeared on Power Rangers.

“Meeting fans anywhere in the world is amazing because I work in a soundproof room by myself. You pour your heart into the mic, and you hope someone hears it. But to know that my voice has reached people in Hawaiʻi and connected with them this deeply, it just means so much to be out here,” Papenbrook said.
Papenbrook will also appear at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, where organizers expect more than 100,000 attendees.
