Police arrest 20-year-old in Waianae attempted murder investigation

WAIANAE (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police have arrested a man in connection with an attempted murder investigation in Waianae.

Police said a 20-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder.

Investigators said the case stems from an argument at a Waianae home around noon June 18.

Police said the suspect and a family member got into a dispute, during which the victim was allegedly stabbed.

The incident was not reported until the following day.

Police said the victim was treated for injuries and later released from the hospital.

District 8 patrol officers located and arrested the suspect without incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
