Common Ground Kauai and Capitol Modern, a program of the Hawaii Foundation on Culture and the Arts, will unveil the large painting on June 27.
The mural, titled “An Imparting Landscape,” stretches across Common Ground Kauai’s campus in Kilauea.
It was conceived by Common Ground Kauai Art Director Sam Schryver and features 11 artists, most of whom are based on Kauai.
Each artist is creating a 50-foot section of the mural to form a continuous composition focused on passing down knowledge and traditions.
